It's comprehensive and easy to follow and free...but I have one worry about it.
My children have been doing Math A.C.E Paces for 15 months. I'm worried that if I change their math curriculum now they may have gaps in their learning. Should I start them at a lower level? I think I was worried that he wasn't getting the mastery of somethings but in fact he was just differently to most other children. I don't know why this has just dawned on me because he has always picked up things differentl to the mainstrewam any way. I can't even tell you how he learnt to read anly that we've always read to him. Anyway just wanted top thankyou for all the maths posts they have helped me lots. I am so glad you wrote this because 'til now I've thought of MEP as a mastery program because even though I am fully aware of the major spiralling going on, I feel like they stick with each subject and approach it from so many different vistas before moving on, that I would have a hard time calling it true spiral... of course what would a spiral constitute then? I don't know. I'll leave the analytical thinking to you from now on. I always refer people to your posts and I was about to write one on how we do MEP, but alas, I'm not sure it would be worth it after reading yours! :) however, I do have the unique corner in that I do have 3 doing it... that's all. And that's not what I was going to post about anyway... ;)
thanks friend for this post.
