To...I wasn't sure how long comments could be :p
To continue.....
I love sharing my childhood delights with my children. They too grew up on PlaySchool (how I miss the old theme song), Thomas and Postman Pat. My hubby showed them H R Pufnstuf (which I personally can't STAND!). They weren't too impressed with Bill and Ben or the Andy Pandy show.....tastes have certainly changed :( However we have invested in the DVDs of series like F Troop, the Ghost &Mrs Muir, I Dream of Jeanie, Bewitched, And My Favorite Martian - all of which are watched ad infintum :) I long for church services like I grew up with (maybe minus the hats and gloves though), and surprisingly - without us saying anything - our children dislike the modern church music and rock bands up the front as much as we do! I'll give it a burl.
Jeanne, I am amazed that you didn't get tonnes of responses to this post....I would happily curl up right now and retreat into the world of memories and probably never come back! No, that's not entirely true - but I almost look forward to getting so old that I'm allowed to do that without anyone condemning me :)
I know this post is 3 years old; i am enjoying working through all of your blog. I saw the post with Jemimah on the hammock in summer holidays and, oh, did memories flood back! My brother and I used to make blanket houses on our deck in summer under the choko vine with the bees buzzing (dangerously close), vivid blue sky, fragrant flowers, tractors humming across the river and crop-dusters droning lazily overhead. I lost myself for hours in delicious books under my canopy of green :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03990828901383399927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-143485269626703118.post-29568776747450170662012-11-17T03:06:35.865+11:002012-11-17T03:06:35.865+11:00Ooh!
