I'm enjoying these posts. I hope you are too. Is your favourite children's classic pictured here? Tell me about it! Let me know in the comments if you'd like to hear more about one of the books pictured.
Yes, I'm still loving our new library. We went to purchase more bookshelves for the opposite wall from IKEA last week, but did you know there is a nation-wide shortage of Expidit bookcases? We'll have to wait for a month for more to arrive. The things we need to endure. Sigh.
I've run out of shelves....we always knew it would happen, even 5 years ago when we started homeschooling everyone told me it would happen hehe Theres a few there we haven't read yet. I have Paddington and The Wind In The Willows and the Hobbit we haven't read yet and the Illustrated 23rd Psalm sounds nice. I haven't got A Siamese Fairy Tale orThe Kate Greenaway series. I've always enjoyed books but I love them more now than I did as a kid, I really love beautiful picture books til this day.
ReplyDeleteRun out of Expedite? No! Still, first world problems..
ReplyDeleteWe have read Alice, Peter Pan and are currently reading Wind in the Willows together. My Dad's favs were WITW, Jungle Book and Pinocchio - so we have copies of those.
My favourite childhood book was The Secret Garden. I adored it!!!
Love, love, love:)
ReplyDeleteLove many of those. BUT Kate Greenaway is a personal favorite. I had a copy of 'A Apple Pie' as a child that got flooded. I recently found a reprint to share with my children with Nursery Rhymes. <3 Kate Greenaway.
ReplyDeleteSo would you highly recommend "Michael Hague's Favourite Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales" compared to other Andersen anthologies? We'll be covering those in the coming year (AO Y2), so I'm trying to decide which version to go with.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the others are all familiar, but I have never heard of The Wombles. More info, please? :)
Nice Blog, Great Idea. Thanks For Sharing.
