This is our tree this morning:God's creation reminds me of his glory. It is his handiwork and is perfectly under his control. When I look at this beautiful tree I wonder anew about the value of man:
When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?Psalm 8:3-4 NIV
Despite the beauty of this tree, I am more valuable to God than it is.
Isn't that humbling?
It is to me.
O LORD, our Lord, in all the earth How excellent Thy name! Ps 8:1 Metrical Version
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAwe-inspiring.
Merciful.
God.
PS. Can you e-mail ME the MEP password? Your minute-by-minute post a while back inspired me to look again at the curriculum which I have downloaded onto my computer... but alas I have misplaced the sheet of paper that had ALL of my passwords! AGH!
Thanks!

I often feel that way. Winter stars on a dark moon night & I seriously wonder why God ever bothered with man. I'm glad He did. Enough beautyy to brak a heat; enough sadness to make us long for heaven. ☺
ReplyDeleteUm, you have a Silky Oak tree, too - so do we, and ours is about the same size!
ReplyDeleteI love the analogy.
Blessings,
