  1. You're not using "Fifty Famous Tales"? I'm looking forward to that one, and "Viking Tales".
We're not doing the American biographies - we're doing "The Little Duke" over 2 terms and "Joan of Arc" for the final term. But then, I'm doing a combination of Years 1 & 2 for my son.

  2. Hi Emma,

Thanks for noticing that I left out history...it's in now!

We found Viking Tales to be a necessary introduction to The Little Duke...see what you think!

I only left the American bios in because:

    1) I love the author, D'Aulaire,

    2) I think that a good knowledge of the lives of these great men is necessary no matter where you live and we are not doing alot of American history in later years.

    It's a great year!! Enjoy!

  5. They're in the separate years. I did AO1 as written because I thought it was good to know about these famous Americans. If you check later years you'll find what we did.

  6. Hi Jeanne, I was just wondering if you found the Nature Study book by Anna B Comstock useful? The copy I picked up has extremely dark photos so much so they are not visible, is that normal? Thank you so much for your time. Tara.

  11. Hi, I just found you via Afterthoughts. You may have already done a post on this. How did you modify AO for Australia? Did you do American history and when did you do Australian history?

I'd love you to leave me a message. Tell me what you like - and what you don't. Just remember that this is what we do in our family - it doesn't have to be what you do in yours...
