How is it that I live in Japan, but hear about these things from far away friends?! It's funny, we were just watching Totoro yesterday for the first time in a while.
LOL! I forgot to say that we, the parents, love Miyazaki!! Jemimah has not yet seen any of his work - while she would enjoy the Japanese culture, the animistic spiritual beliefs have concerned me in the past. As she gets older, I think that she and we will have less problem with her seeing this sort of stuff.
Maybe you'll see Ponyo first - Miyazaki doesn't make it to our little local cinema...
I'd love you to leave me a message. Tell me what you like - and what you don't. Just remember that this is what we do in our family - it doesn't have to be what you do in yours...
