On the box

His name was Jeremiah Johnson, and they say he wanted to be a mountain man. The story goes that he was a man of proper wit and adventurous spirit, suited to the mountains. Nobody knows where abouts he come from and don't seem to matter much. He was a young man and ghosty stories about the tall hills didn't scare him none. He was looking for a Hawken gun, .50 caliber or better. He settled for a .30, but damn, it was a genuine Hawken, and you couldn't go no better. Bought him a good horse, and traps, and other truck that went with being a mountain man, and said good-bye to whatever life was down there below.

Anyone else remember this film?

Y'know, Robert Redford really was pretty dishy back in the day. Even with a bushy 7os beard.

Anybody else agree?

  1. I have never heard of this, but I do remember Grizzly Adams. Showing my age, lol.

  2. I think I remember this. I will call my sister and ask her about it. If I recall correctly, she was crazy about this movie (or, more likely, about Robert Redford). I'm only vaguely remembering it and I might only have heard about the movie from her. I'd better check out netflix.

Like the above poster, I remember Grizzly Adams very well. I used to watch that show with my grandmother!

  3. Just had to say that most people (especially young girls) liked Robert Redford when I was growing up (South Texas in the 70's). But I always preferred Paul Newman!! Oh those beautiful eyes and that wonderful grin!

I'd love you to leave me a message. Tell me what you like - and what you don't. Just remember that this is what we do in our family - it doesn't have to be what you do in yours...
