  1. We just finished The Railway Children last night.

We've read What Katy Did - all the children loved it. :o)

  2. Still reading Twice Freed. Starting Uncle Tom's Cabin. We usually don't have more than two books going at once.

Started 1 Peter this week and will be studying it this term.

I've read Billabong to London, What Katy Did and Sun on the Stubble. Only the last one recently.

The Randy? haven't heard of that one.

  5. Did you enjoy it Jo? I did, but I don't think it is worth all the accolades, to be honest.

  6. We did like The Randy, Ruby. It's aimed at early secondary level, I guess. The boy is 19 by the end of the book. I think your boys would enjoy it. I plan to blog on it next week.

  8. Too many good things to share. However, for South Carolina history, Pamela and I just finished "A Yankee Girl at Fort Sumter" by Alice Curtis Turner and we are starting "A Hunt for Life's Extra" by Idella Bodie.

  9. Jeanne, I found it miserable and none of the characters were that likable. I really don't know why people rave about it. I have no plans to read other Tim Winton books.

I'd love you to leave me a message. Tell me what you like - and what you don't. Just remember that this is what we do in our family - it doesn't have to be what you do in yours...
