Where we'll be when

Well our bags are packed and we're ready to go.  Last night at the end of the Geelong Bible Conference we sang Psalm 121 and said Goodbye to friends and family - mother, sister, husband, doggie (well, Flossie wasn't at the conference - we saved our farewell for afterwards).  It all seems somewhat surreal, Jemimah and me sitting here alone in Melbourne.

I am so excited to be meeting up with many of you.  People who don't understand sometimes belittle online friendships, but some of you know more about me than my real life friends do.  I can't wait until you are both!!  I hope you like me.  I hope my daughter behaves.  I hope I'm not caught out in a lie, however unintentional.

For those of you who are interested to know where we'll be when, here it is:
9th July:  Orange County, California
12th July: Bakersfield
13th July: Bakersfield Home Education Conference
15th July: Disneyland!
18th July: Tri-Cities Region, Tennessee
22nd July: Waukesha County, Wisconsin
25th July: Living Education Retreat
28th July: Berkshire County, Massachusetts
5th August: NYC
8th August: Home Again, Home Again.
I've tried to keep the regions broad enough to maintain anonymity of my lovely hosts, but I hope that if you live nearby, that might give you some idea. Do please let me know if you are going to one of the conferences, or if you live nearby!

I hope to be posting photos on A Peaceful Day's FaceBook page regularly, and I'll try to post some 'Best Ofs' here as well, to give you my impressions of the mighty US of A.  Last time I was there I was 11 years old, the same age as Jemimah as now.  I still have many lovely memories of that - my first overseas trip.  I wonder how much has changed.

Well, until next time, my friends, Adieu!

  15. Oh! I am so jealous that you are going to the LER! Say hello to my friend Nancy and enjoy all you learn! I haven't ever been able to make it to the MN conference, but I'm hoping someday! How are you enjoying the States? If you were coming near Arkansas, I would love to meet you face to face. Maybe next time! Or maybe I will go down under some day!

I'd love you to leave me a message. Tell me what you like - and what you don't. Just remember that this is what we do in our family - it doesn't have to be what you do in yours...
