Bright Star

I've been spending a lovely Saturday afternoon snuggling with my boy watching Bright Star, whilst sipping English Breakfast Tea and listening to the rain. This is about as good as it gets, really.

Have you seen this lovely film, my friend? Are you snuggling with your best beloved? Are you having a blissful weekend too?

Bright Star

John Keats

Bright star, would I were stedfast as thou art—
Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night
And watching, with eternal lids apart,
Like nature's patient, sleepless Eremite,
The moving waters at their priestlike task
Of pure ablution round earth's human shores,
Or gazing on the new soft-fallen mask
Of snow upon the mountains and the moors—
No—yet still stedfast, still unchangeable,
Pillow'd upon my fair love's ripening breast,
To feel for ever its soft fall and swell,
Awake for ever in a sweet unrest,
Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath,
And so live ever—or else swoon to death.

  3. Dearest Love and I went on a marriage retreat today, in the woods, on the lake, and we drank coffee and discussed dreams and glad good things and I am a blessed woman. I truly am.

I'd love you to leave me a message. Tell me what you like - and what you don't. Just remember that this is what we do in our family - it doesn't have to be what you do in yours...
