Hurrah for husbands!!

...well mine anyhow!!

You can't imagine how happy I am to be typing this right now. My modem crashed and burned during the week and I've had no Internet access for days. That means no YouTube, no Google and no Blogger. No FaceBook, No Twitter. My life has had no meaning. I have been adrift in a cyberspaceless abyss. I have been devoid of distraction, left to educate my daughter alone with no online support, no videos, no dictionary, no translation, no atlas. Most terrifying of all I haven't been able to talk to you. I love my blogging pals!! I've taken to biting my nails, twirling my hair and binge eating. I have developed a series of worrying tics.

I've missed you all so much!!!!!!!

My darling husband seeing my distress swooped into the rescue this afternoon. He looked so handsome in his sexy blue suit; red satin boxer shorts flapping alluringly over his trousers. Tucked under his arm was a new modem. I have never been so in need of a superhero before...and to think that I am actually married to him!!

Anyhow, to cut a long story short, I'm back on the air!! Have you missed me? Did you even notice that I was missing?

I have some great posts saved to Word which I shall upload and post very soon - just as soon as I check my facts on the Internet. I'll be catching up with all of your blogs too - as soon as I have a chance. I haven't seen many of you since Christmas. I can't wait to discover what Santa brought you and what you resolved to do at New Year and how many of those same resolutions you've broken already. I resolved to read through the Bible in a year. That's going well...I've had nothing else to distract me after all!!

Right now, though, I have a date.

With my superhero.

Bye.

  6. Computer-free sounds (and looks) divine but I admit I missed you. Hmm, you've conjured up quite the mental image of your superhero.
Mine saved me twice already this morning from the frustrations of technology gone awry. -R

    Hey, Jemimah,
Did you know the monkey on your t-shirt is the monkey on my notebook for handwriting?!
    Love, your friend Max

    Jemimah,
We have a lot of Lego's so come to play after you're done eating. Do you have any Lego's? Bring some if you have them.
    Love, Luca

  10. Hi Jeanne,
No, I haven't forgotten you, my friend, but I tried to load your blog yesterday, and it wouldn't load. :(

I had wondered what had happened to you - I would have been VERY unhappy without internet access for days, so in answer to your question, YES, I missed your witty and thought provoking posts, and I'm glad that you're back. :D :D :D

    Have a great week,
    Blessings,
    Jillian

  12. Hi Jeanne,

I missed your posts too and was wondering where you were.

I have been here a couple of times to leave a comment but have thought that the posts weren't here. I was a bit perplexed because they were showing in google reader but not here. I had to scroll down to the bottom to read them.

  13. Hi Sue, Jillian and Therese, I am a bit alarmed to hear that you've been having trouble getting my blog to load. I don't actually know what I do about that...anybody?

  14. I am having trouble with your blog too. My dahsboard tells me you have a new post about your top 10, but it's not on your page, and when I try to click directly on the link for that post it tells me it doesn't exist????

  15. posts are loading for me, but I have to scroll right down to the bottom of your page to read them.

I would look in the layout tab and see if you can move the posts up in between the two other columns.

  16. Hi Caz,

That's because I accidently pressed 'publish' before I was finished! You'll find it there now.

Therese, my blog looks fine for me though, so it is not a layout issue per se. I don't really know what to do except hope that it rights itself...gotta love blogger.

  17. Hi Jeanne,
Your blog displays correctly on my son's computer, but not on mine - it displays like Therese said, and the differences between the two computers are that my son's is running Windows 7 and is Mozilla Firefox 3.6 Beta, while mine is running Windows XP and using Mozilla Firefox 3.5.6. I think that it might be a browser issue rather than anything to do with Blogger. :P

    Have a great week,
    Blessings,
    Jillian

I'd love you to leave me a message. Tell me what you like - and what you don't. Just remember that this is what we do in our family - it doesn't have to be what you do in yours...
